Friends of Bracken Nature Reserve are planning a fundraiser on Heritage day, 24
September 2014, in the Bracken Nature Reserve Brackenfell. We are a
Public Benefit Organisation who’s aim is to promote awareness of the Bracken
Nature Reserve, assist in nature conservation in the Reserve and organize and
pay for transport of youth groups to visit the Nature Reserve.
In order to attract the local community to our reserve,
where the wild flowers should be at their best in September, we are having a
number of craft and food stalls, nature related games for the family, a raffle
with lucky draws with great prizes etc. The highlight this year will be
the firing of 2 guns, to commemorate the old historic signal system, of which we
were a link.
gate will open @ 8h00 The activities on the day will end at around 14h00.
Bring your own gazebo, table and chairs etc. The event will be advertised
in the local media and radio as well as banners in and around the Reserve.
